OID Final Reports

One of the responsibilities of having received OID funding is submitting a final report.  Here is what is required:

A memo (typically one page) that . . .

1. notes at the top:

  • your name and department,
  • your proposal/project title,
  • grant program (FIDC Travel, Materials/Software or SoTL Grants, Flexible Grants, Developmental Leave Travel & Materials Award, Mini Project, or Summer Professorship),
  • dates you worked on this project.

2. describes in a direct and reader-friendly style what, if anything, you learned as a result of this grant activity.

Refer back to your original proposal for the grant and candidly discuss whether or not your experiences matched your expectations.  Were there disappointments? unexpected gains? Is what you learned applicable to your students’ learning at UND? What impact has the experience/materials/software had on your students' learning?

Please note: The narrative of the final report will reflect the grant program you received funding through. For possible questions to address as related to specific programs follow this link.

3. Please address the ways in which you would be willing to share your experience or the results of your project with others.  Which forum/s might be appropriate?

  • "On Teaching" Box Lunch Discussion Session
  • Interview or Article in the On Teaching newsletter
  • Presentation in your department or college
  • Presentation at campus conference on teaching
  • Presentation or report to a campus group or committee (tell us who)
  • An article in a SoTL Journal or further conference presentations

Reports may be submitted via e-mail (oid@und.nodak.edu) or via intra-campus mail (Stop 7104).

These reports are important to us and our continued work. Thank you for submitting your final report!
