Announced dates for academic matters are fixed a year in advance and are unlikely to change. They differ from the regular UND summer sessions. By submitting an application and subsequently registering for SIL-UND classes, students agree to this calendar. Other dates, though reasonably certain, may be changed even during the course of the summer session.

*At the beginning of the summer, early arrivals to the dormitory may be accommodated with sufficient notice in writing (see contact info). At the end of the summer, departures can sometimes be delayed by up to about 24 hours; again, please make arrangements with us ahead of time. If you arrive early or leave late, your help with setting up and closing down the program will be appreciated.

**Due to the intensive nature of summer courses, late arrivals and early departures (those that would require you to miss regularly-scheduled classes) are strongly discouraged and require permission from the SIL-UND director and the relevant course instructors in advance of the summer session. (We will not reschedule assignments or tests simply because you have bought plane tickets that will require you to miss classes; in such a case you will need to change your tickets.)
