1.       Blackboard: Upgrade of Blackboard system hardware

o        To assure reliability and capacity for consolidated Blackboard use

o        Planned completion late summer 2009

2.       IdM: Synchronize Identity Management identifiers

o        To assure single identifier before extending IdM system use

o        Planned completion, May 2009

3.       Network authentication: Develop network authentication plan

o        To improve security, assure network access for university needs, and meet law and policy requirements.

o        Plan presented April 2009

4.       Storage: Add network storage

o        Provide more cost-effective space for department use

o        Planned availability, spring 2009

5.       Student e-mail: Implement  student Microsoft email

o        Enhance UND official student e-mail service

o        Planned official student e-mail fall 2009

6.       U-Mail: Upgrade U-Mail for faculty/staff use

o        To add features, meet standards and provide increased storage

o        Planned transition spring 2009

7.       Virtual servers: Implement virtual  server  environment

o        Gain efficiencies in and faster implementation of ITSS supported campus applications

o        Planned availability, late summer 2009

8.       Wireless: Extend wireless networking

o        Provide wireless network access (near) anywhere on campus

o        Planned completion late summer 2009
