Basic Skills: Default Settings

The following default settings are recommended.

Type 0 at the ISPF Primary Option Menu and press enter.
Type 0 (Settings).

Press enter.

The current default settings are listed. The current default settings will be listed.

Press the spacebar to remove the / for the Command Line and Tab to Action Bar options.
Tab to the "Command line at bottom", remove the / by pressing the space bar.

Tab to the "Tab to action bar choices" line, remove the / by pressing the space bar.

Click on Log/List at the top of the screen and press enter.
The system will automatically keep a log of every key stroke of your session. To change the settings to delete this log every time you log off,

Click on the Log/List menu choice at the top of the screen and press enter

OR right mouse click

to display the drop-down menu

Type 1

Press enter.

Type 2 and press F3.
Type 2 to delete the log (data set) without printing.

Press F3.

Click on the Log/List option at the top of the screen and press enter.
To change the List Data set defaults,

Click on the Log/List menu choice at the top of the screen and press enter

OR right mouse click

to display the drop-down menu

Type 2

Press enter.

Type 2 and press F3.
Type 2 to delete the list (data set) without printing.

Press F3.

Press F3 to save your changes. Press F3 to save your changes.
