Step 2: If you want
an immediate update click once on the AutoUpdate item, then
click Start on the icon bar. For automatic updates double click the
AutoUpdate item.

Step 3: At the Task
Properties click on the Schedule tab. At the Schedule tab click
Enable. Once the autoupdate in enabled you need to decide how often
you
want to run a check for updates. We recommend choosing Weekly. The next
items to setup are the day of the week and time frame to Start the check
for updates. This can be any time of any day, but it has to be a
time and a
day that your computer is running and connected to the Internet. To stager
the networks load click on Enable randomization and put 1:00 hour in the
Randomize time window. Click OK to finish the process and return to the
VirusScan Console windows.

Step 4: You will
notice that the Next time is configured for your AutoUpdate.
When it runs the Last run information will also be updated so you know
that it is running. Everything is now set for AutoUpdates to McAfee
and
you can close the VirusScan Console by clicking the X in the upper right
hand corner. If you close the window by clicking on Task and Exit you will
stop VirusScan Console and have to restart it. To start VirusScan
Console
again click Start, Programs, Network Associates and then VirusScan Console.
