A list of all site license software available to campus is on the Computer Center homepage, click on the Software button at the top of the page, and then click on Software Site License Information (North Dakota University System). If you wish to order site license software, the Site License Purchase Form is available on the Computer Center homepage, CCInfo, click the Software button, and then click Site License Purchase Form. The form can be filled in online, printed, and then sent intercampus mail to the Computer Center, Box 9041. The fields highlighted in red on the screen are fields that must be filled in. If you have chosen to purchase CD-ROMs containing the Site License software please make prior arrangements with me before coming over to Upson II to pick them up.
The UND Site License program sold 2,144 software products during the past fiscal year from July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001. This is an increase of 636 software products. The software can require from 1 to 18 CD-ROMs. Each new release of a program becomes larger. The common number is becoming 2 or more CD-ROMs.
SAS has changed their billing cycle. Our licenses have always run from July 1 through June 30th. This year they have changed the agreement and are moving the renewal dates. The license beginning July 1, 2001 will expire on February 28, 2002. There will still be the 90 day grace period so that should allow the product to function until the end of May 2002. Since most users do not renew their licenses until their codes no longer function - I'm guessing this will push users to upgrade in a more timely manner. With the renewal of SAS this year - users will have a new version (8.1) to install.
Remember! ESRI expires on June 30, 2002. Mathematica expires August 15, 2001; therefore, it must be renewed if you plan to use it for another year. AutoCAD/Autodesk expire in October of 2001.
