Howie Butler, Lead Operator with the Computer Center, not only keeps Operations rocking and rolling, but as lead singer keeps his band rocking and rolling. Howie had a 40-year reunion with his band, the Reflections. They were the first rock and roll band from the Grand Forks area. They played at the second annual Rock and Country Festival in St. Joseph, MN on Sunday, August 19th. Lead guitar player John Franklin, from Spartanburg, SC, returned to this area for the first time since 1963. Other members are bass player Tom Aaker of Grand Forks and drummer Dave Novak of Baudette, MN. Although they had not played together, or even been together since 1961, the band was well-received at the event, and have been extended an invitation to perform there again next year.
