North Dakota University System (NDUS) is in partnership with state government to create a new high-speed statewide network. This network will provide network access for all higher education institutions, state agencies and K-12 schools.
Dakota Carrier Network has been selected as the provider of in-state access between sites. From an NDUS perspective this will connect the eleven higher education institutions within the state with high-speed network access ranging from 10Mbps to 1Gbps.
Sprint will be providing Internet1 access for this network; they will provide the state
of North Dakota and the University System with two circuits each providing 45Mbps of bandwidth. Reliability is a principal goal of these connections; therefore we are specifying diverse and fully redundant links that, without human intervention, will restore connectivity in the case of a failure of the primary connection.
