A list of all site license software available to campus is on the Computer Center homepage, click on the Software button at the top of the page, and then click on Software Site License Information (North Dakota University System). If you wish to order site license software, the Site License Purchase Form is available on the Computer Center homepage, CCInfo, click the Software button, and then click Site License Purchase Form. The form can be filled in online, printed, and then sent intercampus mail to the Computer Center, Box 9041. The fields highlighted in red on the screen are fields that must be filled in.
The UND Site License program sold 1,508 software products during the past fiscal year from July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000. The programs require from 1 to 18 CD-ROMs. Each new release of a program becomes larger. The common number is becoming 2 or more CD-ROMs.
AutoCAD/desk was added to the selection of available software and will expire during October, 2000. At this time this product needs to be renewed if you intend to keep using it.
SAS has been available for sometime, but a new version is fresh off the CD-ROM burners. This is version 8.xx and consists of 3 CD-ROMs. The contract runs from July 1 through June 30, 2001. If it has not been renewed by now, the password should have expired.
During the past year the SPSS site license software moved from a lease arrangement to a purchase agreement. Since March 31, 2000 this is how the SPSS site license software works. A "renewal" after March 31, 2000, is considered NEW. The upgrades are available for those that have purchased their perpetual license but did not choose at that time (anytime since January 1, 2000) to install version 10.0. If they were using version 8.0 or 9.0 and now want to upgrade - they need to check that they have ordered since January 1, 2000. If the order was placed between January 1 to the present and they have already paid the $40 licensing fee; THEN they would be eligible to get an upgrade. An upgrade from version 8.0 to version 10.0 requires an upgrade for version 9.0 and version 10.0; so it will cost $24.
