The main campus Blackboard Learning System upgrade to Version 7.1 was completed on Aug 11, 2006. The following new features and enhancements were added to Blackboard Version 7.1:
| 1. | Spell Check has been added to Email, the Glossary tool and Assignment comments. |
| 2. | The Visual Textbox Editor is now compatible with PC Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 1.X, Netscape 8 and MAC OS Browsers, Firefox 1.0 and Safari 2.0. Visual Textbox Editor has been added to many more areas within Blackboard. |
| 3. | Discussion Board has been completely revamped. |
| 4. | Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Arabic and Japanese are now among the available languages. Additional languages can also be built using the new Language Pack Editor. |
| 5. | Assessment and Gradebook features are improved. |
| 6. | Quick Tutorials for many key Blackboard features are available to instructors and administrators through the control panel. |
