Blackboard Learning System Upgrade to Version 7.1

The main campus Blackboard Learning System upgrade to Version 7.1 was completed on Aug 11, 2006. The following new features and enhancements were added to Blackboard Version 7.1:

1.      Spell Check has been added to Email, the Glossary tool and Assignment comments.
2.      The Visual Textbox Editor is now compatible with PC Browsers Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 1.X, Netscape 8 and MAC OS Browsers, Firefox 1.0 and Safari 2.0. Visual Textbox Editor has been added to many more areas within Blackboard.
3. Discussion Board has been completely revamped.
4. Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Arabic and Japanese are now among the available languages. Additional languages can also be built using the new Language Pack Editor.
5. Assessment and Gradebook features are improved.
6. Quick Tutorials for many key Blackboard features are available to instructors and administrators through the control panel.
