Aaron Bergstrom - High Performance Computing Specialist

Aaron joined the ITSS staff in December of 2006 as the Computational Research Center’s half-time High Performance Computing Specialist. His primary role is to assist university researchers with porting their research software from serial computing to parallel computing environments such as the UND CRC’s 64-node Beowulf Linux Cluster, Shale.

Aaron has been the Computer Visualization Manager for the NDSU Archaeology Technologies Laboratory since 2001 where he continues to work half-time. Before taking the position with the ATL, Aaron spent two years as the web-developer for the Department of Plant Sciences at NDSU. He holds a BS degree in Social Science with an emphasis in Anthropology from NDSU, and is currently finalizing his masters thesis for an MS in Social Science from NDSU.

Aaron is married to his wife, Rochelle, and has one child, Abigail – age 3.
