Rod joined Information Technology Systems and Services as an Application Administrator within the DBA group. His primary responsibility is to serve as a liaison between the Business Analyst and the Technical area.
Rod is a Mayville State graduate and received his B.S. degree in Math and Science. After teaching secondary math and science for seven years he began a career in computer science. He started as an intern at UND and worked on the financial aids system. After 6 years at UND Rod began contract programming that included BCBS of ND, Black Hills Power and Light of Rapid City, and MeritCare of Fargo. He has also worked full time at Altru hospital in Grand Forks and Clarica Life Insurance Co. of Fargo.
Rod met his wife is Vickie while working at UND and they have three Children, Jenny, Becky, and Jake.
