ITSS is in the final stages of migrating the campus network to new equipment supporting gigabit ethernet technology and redundant paths to all administrative and academic buildings.
The two new core switches provide automatic fail-over in the event of a failure in either of these switches. This redundancy allows for software upgrades without the need for scheduled network outages. It provides new opportunities for upgrading, testing and implementing features to support campus network needs.
Digital subscriber link connections will extend high-speed campus network access to UND campus apartments beginning spring semester.
