Semester-Based Online Courses are eligible for federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs, with the exception of institutional tuition waivers.  Semester-based on-line courses are NOT eligible for any tuition waiver programs (i.e. Cultural Diversity, International, Employee, Graduate).

Please note that distance students must meet all regular eligibility requirements (Apply for Aid).

  • Certificate programs are NOT eligible for federal or state financial aid except for the following programs:

    • Family Nurse Practitioner

    • Psychiatric & Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist

    • Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

All official communication from the UND Student Financial Aid Office will be sent to your University U-Mail e-mail account.  It is very important that you activate your U-Mail account as soon as it is available and regularly check it or forward it.

CampusConnection is the secure portal used to:
  • View financial aid awards
  • View billing information from the Business Office
  • Keep addresses updated

Financial Aid and Scholarship Priority Dates and Deadlines

  • March 15, 2009 - priority date for UND academic scholarships

  • March 15, 2009 - priority date for state and federal financial aid

  • April 15, 2009 - priority date for the Undergraduate Cultural Diversity Tuition Waiver

Financial Aid Disbursement:

Financial aid will be disbursed based on the number of credit hours you are enrolled in as of 11:59pm September 2 for fall 2009 and 11:59pm January 21 for spring 2010 Classes dropped or added after this date will not be considered for financial aid eligibility

  • Part-term classes dropped before their start date may result in the repayment of financial aid received or the reduction of aid awarded.

Important Dates and Deadlines

Financial aid in excess of your bill at the University will be sent to the your (the student's) UND Pride Card.  You must go to www.UNDPrideCard.com to activate the card and select how you wish to receive the refund.  If you do not activate the Pride Card and select a refund preference, a check will be issued by Higher One after 21 days  and mailed to the address UND provided to Higher One. This is the address used at the time the UND Pride Card was issued to you.

Excess funds from a parent PLUS loan will be sent to the parent.  However, these funds may also be direct-deposited to any bank account of the parent's choice.  Parent PLUS Loan Direct Deposit Form
