Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for a scholarship, you must:
-
· Be
admitted to UND as a new incoming freshman student for the 2010-11 academic
year and plan to be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours each
semester)

· Have
a 2.5 minimum high school GPA
-
· Have
a 23-28 composite ACT score or equivalent SAT score (preferred)
-
· Have
declared one of the following academic majors: Business, economics,
engineering, computer technology & related studies, accounting, medicine,
nursing, math, physics, chemistry or biology

· Demonstrated
desire to contribute to society as a citizen

· Demonstrated
leadership ability

· Demonstrated
intellectual capacity to achieve
Nomination Package
All required forms and documents must be sent to the Student
Financial Aid Office at the address on the top of this form and postmarked by
the deadline.

· Student
Application—consists
of student’s personal information form and essays

· Nomination
Form—completed
by someone knowledgeable of the student’s academic background
-
· Recommender
Form—completed
by someone familiar with the student's commitment to citizenship, leadership,
and service to society
Amount and Duration of Award
-
· Variable
depending on the number of eligible applicants. Minimum award of $2,500.

· The
award is renewable. A student may receive a maximum of eight semesters
of funding for undergraduate work leading to a first bachelor's degree.

· Renewal
Criteria:
-
· Complete
12 credit hours each semester
-
· Good
academic standing (as defined by UND and major department/college) and
maintain a major in one of the selected areas indicated in the eligibility
requirements
-
· Completion
of at least 10 hours of service or civic engagement each semester
