Teaching
& Learning:
The Journal
of Natural Inquiry & Reflective Practice
The papers in this issue deal
with the theme of assessment: Miriam Raider-Roth uses a method called portraiture
to study students engaged in the process of self-evaluation; Kathy Bussert-Webb
uses the metaphor of the panopticon to explore the impact of high stakes
testing in a Texas school, in particular the impact on herself and other
teachers; and Rose Pringle describes the preparations of science teachers
for the additon of their subject to the the Florida Comprehensive Assessment
Test. This issue also includes David Yearwood’s review of Multiple Intelligences
and Adult Literacy by Viens and Kallenbach.
