 UND Social Work Department Receives Reaccreditation
The Department of Social Work at the University of North Dakota has been reaccredited by the Council on Social Work Education's Commission on Accreditation. The Bachelor of Science in Social Work and the Master of Social Work programs were reaccredited for eight years at the January meeting of the Commission on Accreditation. UND Colleges Receive $1.5 Million Grant For Science, Math and Engineering Teachers
The University of North Dakota's College of Education and Human Development and the College of Arts and Sciences have partnered together to receive a $1.5 million, three-year grant from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. Click here to read more about the grant.

Chaos Theory and What it Means
Students, faculty, and community members were able to explore complexity (chaos) theory in the context of marriage survival rates and other real-world examples in Dr. Ralph Woehle's first of three lectures this semester on complexity theory and the social sciences.

Alumna Lectures on Trends in Tourism and Recreation
Dr. Norma Nickerson, '78, gave a special lecture on trends in tourism and recreation on February 12, sponsored by the Recreation and Leisure Services (RLS) program at UND. Nickerson talked to students and community members about national, global and socioeconomic trends, as well as U.S. and regional tourism and recreational trends.
