American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD) Scholarship Program - undergrad
and graduate students are eligible. Preference given to students majoring in public
health, disability studies, health promotion or a field related to disability and

American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation, Student With a Disability Scholarship –
limited to

Americorps - full-time members earn an award of $4,725 to pay for college, graduate school or
to repay student loans. Part-time members receive a partial award. Some members may also

Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) Century Scholarship -
must be accepted to an ALA-accredited Library Science Master’s or doctoral program and be

Foundation for Science and Disability Student Award Program - students must be fourth year
undergraduates who have been accepted to a graduate or professional school in the sciences
(math, medicine, engineering, technology or science) and to graduate level science students.
$1000 awards are to be used for an assistive device, instrument or other special need:

Alexander Graham Bell Ass. for the Deaf – must have a moderate to profound hearing loss prior
to acquiring spoken language (in the speech frequencies of 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz .) and use
spoken communication as their primary mode of communication:

The Geoffrey Foundation – limited to students with a severe to profound hearing loss, who use an

IADES(International Alumnae of Delta Epsilon Sorority) Fellowship Award – limited to deaf women pursuing a doctoral degree. Do not have to be an alumnae of the Delta Epsilon Sorority or Gallaudet University. Must be enrolled in a doctoral program and have successfully completed 12 or more graduate credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or better) for both master’s and doctoral work. American Council of the Blind – all legally blind, full-time students admitted to academic and
vocational post-secondary training programs are eligible to apply. Part-time students who work
full-time can apply for the John Hebner Memorial Scholarship. A cumulative GPA of 3.3 is
generally required, but extenuating circumstances may be considered for certain

Claude S. Weiler Scholarship for Amputee College Students - must have a major limb amputation

Cancer for College - must be either a current or former cancer patient currently attending
