The Office of Institutional Research strives
to meet all of its responsibilities (pending
resources and priorities) in a customer-oriented,
expeditious fashion by being proactive in operation.
Office of Institutional Research – Mission
Statement:
The Office of Institutional Research serves
as a resource to university decision makers
by providing accurate, consistent, useful,
timely, user-friendly, official data that can
be used
to assess the goals and objectives of the University
of North Dakota.
In pursuit of this mission the office,
• maintains IR-related past and current data
for trend analysis,
• stays current with data elements
collected by other offices on campus,
• provides consultation to help
ensure that the data is used and interpreted
correctly,
• conducts surveys of students,
faculty, staff, and employers,
• assists and provides statistical
and/or research consultation to faculty,
staff, administrators,
students, UND and NDUS committees with projects
related to the mission of the office,
• keeps current about knowledge
of research, IR technology, and articles
on higher education.
